My bike doesn't turn on, what should I do?

It’s possible that you can fix this issue yourself. For protection reasons our batteries can enter sleep mode if not used for a longer period of time. So let’s try to wake it up . 

Press the battery button (on the short end of the battery next to the battery latch) 

Then there are 2 options:

Option 1

- if the light blinks red and white like below, it’s in sleep mode. Please follow the steps below. If the light stays blue, green or red or no lights at all blink when pressing the battery button, proceed with Option 2 below.


Here’s what to do:

1. Turn off: Press the battery button for 3 seconds to turn your battery OFF. The LED will blink in multiple colors and then turn off.
   
   

2. Wait: Wait for at least 1 minute.

3. Turn ON: Press the battery button again to turn it back ON.
   
   

4. Test: Insert battery into bike and turn on bike.

Option 2

- If the light stays blue, green or red or no lights at all blink when pressing the battery button, try the following:

1. Plug in: Plug your battery into the charger

2. Wait: Wait 5 seconds

3. Unplug: Unplug it

4. Repeat: Repeat 2 more times

If none of these troubleshooting steps helped, please book a repair via the Dance app immediately and park your ebike with inserted battery in a public place. We’ll then check your ebike on site. As soon as the repair is completed, we’ll let you know.
