Is my Dance vehicle protected, and what is the deductible?

When joining Dance, you can choose between two types of protection: Standard or Extra. 

Standard protection is included with every Dance subscription. Extra protection can be added for €9.99/month (€14.99/month for mopeds) and will greatly reduce the deductibles you pay in case of damage or theft. 

The moped subscription also includes liability insurance for personal injury and property damage.

Both protection plans are available in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Paris. 

Standard Protection 

Ebikes:

• Repairs: Repairs for normal wear and tear are fully covered by your subscription. Repairs caused by accidents, vandalism, or improper usage will be charged based on the actual repair costs for up to €1,800 (invoiced separately).
• Theft: In the event of theft, you pay a deductible of €300 if the vehicle was locked correctly. If the battery is also stolen, you pay an additional €200. In case of theft or loss of accessories or improper locking of the vehicle, we charge in accordance with our Terms.

Mopeds:

• Repairs: Repairs for normal wear and tear are fully covered. Repairs caused by accidents, vandalism, or improper usage will be charged based on the actual repair costs for up to €3,000 (invoiced separately).
• Theft: In the event of theft, the deductible is €1,800 if the vehicle was locked correctly. In case of theft or loss of accessories or improper locking of the vehicle, we charge in accordance with our Terms.
• Liability: The moped subscription also includes liability insurance for personal injury and property damage.

Extra Protection

Ebikes:

• Repairs: Repairs for normal wear and tear are fully covered. Repairs caused by accidents are covered by the Extra protection if an accident report was submitted to Dance within 1 week (7 days) after the accident happened. Repairs due to vandalism, or improper usage will be charged based on the actual repair costs for up to €1,800 (invoiced separately).
• Theft: For only €9.99/month you don’t have to pay a deductible in the event of a vehicle theft if the vehicle was locked correctly.

Please note: The Extra Protection does not cover theft of individual accessories such as charger, bike lock, cell phone case, battery lock key or allen key for saddle fixation. Theft and loss of the battery is excluded from the extra protection.
If your battery is stolen, you will pay a deductible of €200.

Mopeds:

• Repairs: Repairs for normal wear and tear are fully covered. Repairs caused by accidents are covered by the Extra protection if an accident report was submitted to Dance within 1 week (7days) after the accident happened. Repairs due to vandalism, or improper usage will be charged based on the actual repair costs for up to €3,000 (invoiced separately).
• Theft: For only €14.99/month you don’t have to pay a deductible in the event of a vehicle theft if the vehicle was locked correctly.

Please note: The Extra protection does not cover loss/theft of individual accessories such as key, remote control, charger and keys for the top case.

• Liability: Liability insurance for personal injury and property damage is also included just like in the Standard Protection package.
